the agreement
these terms are between you and ember labs limited, a company registered in ireland. by using the dearly website or app you agree to them. we've tried to keep them short and plain.
dearly is not a crisis or medical service
dearly is a companion for grief, not therapy, counselling or emergency help. if you're in danger or thinking about ending your life, call your local emergency number, or in the us call or text 988, in the uk and ireland call samaritans on 116 123, or find a free helpline at findahelpline.com.
your account
you need to be 16 or older. keep your login safe and tell us if you think someone else has used it. you're responsible for what happens under your account.
what you add stays yours
you own your memories, letters, photos and posts. you give us permission only to store them and show them to the people you choose, so dearly can work. that permission ends when you delete them. please only add things you have the right to share.
being kind in the community
everyone here is carrying something. no harassment, hate, judgement of how someone grieves, selling, or sharing other people's private information. don't give medical advice. we may remove posts or close accounts that break these rules.
the service
we're building dearly carefully, and features may change. we'll do our best to keep it running and your things safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. if we ever close dearly, we'll give you notice and a way to export everything.
cost
joining the waitlist is free. if parts of dearly are paid, we'll show the price clearly before you decide, and you can cancel any time.
leaving
you can stop using dearly and delete your account whenever you want. we may suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
limits of our responsibility
to the extent the law allows, dearly is provided as it is, and we aren't liable for indirect losses. nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
changes and law
if we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you first. these terms are governed by the laws of ireland.
