why we made dearly

grief is love with nowhere to go. dearly gives it somewhere — a place to grow, to keep, and to share.

a note from us spring 2026

to you, reading this.

when you lose someone you love, the world gives you about a week. then the cards stop, the casseroles stop, and you're left holding everything that was them — the voicemails, the photos, the things you never got to say.

we couldn't find a place for that. the apps we tried wanted us to track our mood, finish a programme, or move on. we didn't want to move on. we wanted somewhere to keep them close.

so we're building dearly with people who are grieving, and we'll keep it that way. if you join the waitlist, you'll help shape it.

privacy & safety

the most private things you own deserve care.

yours by default

your memories and letters are only yours. no one else can see them.

never sold

no ads, and your data is never sold. grief isn't for marketing.

leave any time

export everything you've added, or delete it all, whenever you want.

anyone grieving someone they love — recently, or a long time ago. a parent, a partner, a child, a friend. there's no right amount of time and no wrong kind of loss.

we're opening on iphone first, a few people at a time. join the waitlist and we'll write to you when there's a place for you.

joining the waitlist is free. we'll tell you plainly what dearly costs before you ever need to decide.

no. dearly is a companion, not a treatment. it can sit alongside a counsellor, a support group or nothing at all — and it will always point you to real help when you need it.

only you, unless you choose otherwise. memories and letters are private by default. you decide what to share and with whom, and you can change your mind.

not yet. we want to get one version right first. leave your email and we'll let you know when android is on its way.

if today is too heavy

you don't have to hold this alone.

dearly isn't a crisis service. if you're thinking about ending your life, or you're worried you might be unsafe, please reach out to someone right now. if you're in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.

be the first through.
